and engine running VIDEOS below
I retired and selling my beloved red
Y2K Bug, sad to see her go, but I hope she finds a good home.
Economic, reliable 2.0 liter engine.
Cold AC, 5 Speed manual, runs super good, peppy. 6 Disk CD changer
in back, AM/FM Cassette, alloy wheels, sunroof. Well maintained.
First owner drove to Charlotte from Kernersville every day for years,
mostly highway miles.
Yes, its got 274 K miles, but I'm
sure good for many more, as this bug has been loved very much and well
maintained. Since I bought it with 245 K (from the original owner), it
has gotten new tires, alternator, water pump, timing belt, leak
detection pump, serpentine belt and tensioner, front trailing A-arms,
rear wheel bearing, battery. Really runs good.
A few little problems with the
topcoat in some areas, lightly sand and re coat with clear, or black out
the top. The door panels need some TLC, the handle cover on the drivers
side door is coming loose. The headliner was replaced by original owner
and looks new.
The Check Engine light (CEL) is on,
with code P0102, which is "Low output of MAF or VAF sensor" This code has been
there ever since I bought it. Cars over 25 years do not have to worry
about Check Engine Lights or emissions problems. I had it inspected last
week, the Safety Inspection cost is only $13.60 As long as it runs
good, with good MPG (24 city, 29 highway) don't worry about the CELs.
(if you check oil and coolant frequently) There are separate dash
lights for low oil, low coolant, overheating, etc. There is also an
Airbag light on the dash, the airbag cable below drivers seat is broken,
an easy fix. The glove box handle is missing, but easily
replaceable.
